We conclude with this topic, which I have been developing through investigating various points of view such as: Defined by literature. The approach from Psychology, with the approach of Williams James. Knowing the point of view of Philosophy (Rickaby and Moral) Neurophysiology investigations (Donnal Hebb, Asermet, Magistretti and Fritt) Research from Neurobiology (Kolb, Gibb and Robison) The point raised by anthropology (Roger Bartra and the experiments of William Greenough) The view from somatic education using the point of view of Moshe Feldenkrais. In this journey we have found how there are ideas that add up to build a new relationship in the capacity that people have to modify or generate new habits. I have discussed the interaction that exists between new habits and existing ones, which Moshe Feldenkrais called competition between habits, which gives the person the possibility of modifying and improving situations on many levels of his life, including the organic plane. What I mean by the above, I will give an example the people who learned to move in a way (walking, standing, sitting, carrying objects, etc.) and over time they begin to experience manifestations of difficulty in their musculoskeletal system or nervous system, such as pain, difficulty moving without having suffered an accident or injury, when going to the health professional, they tell you that this difficulty was generated by the way you move, by the bad habits you have to perform the activities. Some people when listening to the above, the position they assume is that they are going to be worse and worse, which is why they prepare to accept that they are no longer going to be able to continue living their lives as they previously lived, and thus they are building it with limitations that they are experiencing throughout it. If we understand everything that has been discussed in this topic, we know that there is the ability to change, that change is generated gradually (without this referring to the speed at which it occurs), where various stages are experienced in the process, until the foundations are built for the new way of moving and with them the symptoms or difficulties change, improving your uncomfortable situation.
During this time, the only ones who can carry out the actions is the individual who needs to modify that habit, which is not useful for them to carry out that particular activity, but it is also very true that in order to change it, it is necessary to develop other elements that can solve the need they nurtured. to the habit that one seeks to modify, and I am not referring to a correction of it, but to the capacity that any person can develop to understand how to build the new relationship in the movement, starting from the principle of knowing what the action generates little efficient that results in difficulty, pain or inability to perform that movement. At the same time we know how this interaction of the person with the environment (social, work, family, etc.) facilitates or restricts to generate new possibilities to change habits, but the important thing about this interaction is that the person understands the way it impacts her life, if it restricts her or makes it easier for her to change, so she can find other options or ways of relating to her environment that are useful for what she wants to do. Among the concepts that have been cultivated in society, is the idea that something that is habitual can no longer be modified, now we know that this idea is not so true, the capacity for change is a reality on the organic plane of the individual, it is simply trying to generate a series of actions that build the possibility of changing that attitude, both society and people can do it. With all the aforementioned, from my point of view, I consider this topic an angular axis as a tool that we can use or at least observe in learning to exploit the potential that exists in each one. I would like to know your point of view.
