The learning process is individual, it does not matter if it takes place in a specific social environment. During this process the person uses different cognitive mechanisms that allow him to internalize the new information that is being offered to him, with which he will transform it into useful knowledge. (1)

Another way of defining the learning process is how the teaching - learning process is defined "the movement of the cognitive activity of the students under the direction of the teacher, towards the mastery of knowledge, skills, habits and the formation of a scientific conception of the world "(2)

Seeing a little about the history of learning processes we can go back to the ancient Greeks especially Plato and Aristotle. Plato (427-347 BC) expressed that knowledge was the inherent possession of truth, an understanding of reality without having learned from it through sensory experience. For Aristotle (384-322 BC), knowledge is obtained through the senses, that is, through experience. Both the concepts of Plato and Aristotle have served as the basis for the approach of other current theories. (3)

For Piaget, he considered that learning, understood as the process of change that is being built, makes us go through different stages, not because our mind changes its nature spontaneously with the passage of time, but because certain mental patterns vary in their relationships, they are organized differently as we grow and interact with the environment. It is the relationships established between our ideas, and not the content of these, that transform our way of acting; In turn, the relationships established between our ideas change the content of these. (4)

The process of learning from somatic education refers not only to the sensory-motor skills we have for people, nor do we use Piaget's sense, only to base it on the sensory-motor development stage that forms the foundations for adult actions , but to the base of our thoughts, feelings, and movements that are developed in our lived experience to be interacting in our environment as people, unique and unrepeatable, in which we can go discovering that wealth not yet explored by ourselves . (5)

Moshe Feldenkrais develops a methodology called Feldenkrais MethodⓇ

in which he proposes that people develop a learning process as the functional unit where we build a process of learning to learn how it suits the most important of human life, he considered that traditional learning processes encourage compulsive learning processes , so the development of the potential that the person possesses is diminished by these ways of learning.

Considers that people are indivisible by which their thoughts, feelings, emotions and movements are in a constant interaction between themselves linked to the environment (natural, social, work, family, etc) in relation to the force of gravity as what it calls a functional unit. He states that thinking about this separation of mind and body is not real and not very functional for the acquisition of knowledge and experiences in the life of each individual. (6)

The difference that I will try to expose is exactly based on the Feldenkrais Method and in the somatic education in relation to the therapies, the intention of this topic is to clarify what is a learning process, this arises after seventeen years of experience where many people get confused with the idea of why not call a "Therapy" a learning process.
