By definition it is understood that Somatic Education is the disciplinary field of a set of methods that aim to learn the consciousness of the living body moving in the environment. Hesiod, considered one of the first Greek philosophers, defines Soma as the living body as it is lived or experienced from within. Later, in 1989, the philosopher Tomas Hanna defined Somatics as the art and science of the processes of synergistic or concurrent interaction between consciousness, biological functioning and the environment.
